What is the Next Step? Entering Big Business.

The Portfolio is filling up quite nicely! I have more biz dev meetings than I can handle and the projects are flying in. Most companies haven’t even minded the  $225 per hour – but what do I do now?   I don’t have time to manage what I already have  on my plate, let alone create project plans for new clients and build proposals for prospects.

Where to go from here? Hire staff? Bring on another partner? Get an office?

Maybe I need financing or VC… But I only have a few months of revenues coming in so it really hurts any fair valuation.

How do I find staff that I won’t have to micro-manage? Most work is self-generated and requires my creative input and expertise.

How do I protect my ideas and more importantly clients from employees? What first? A programmer, designer, project manager, account manager, cfo?

Are there special procedures / agendas “Agencies” follow? I need a contract to sign with prospect companies when meeting and sharing ideas.

I guess this is the definition of good problems but as you can see, I need help!

A birdie told me to start blogging…

So this is a big day for me! This is my first ever blog post. Well “non micro-blog” post.  If you are reading this, you are part of history in the making!

Stay tuned… I’m going to hunt for a wordpress theme now…. and also learn how to use it! If anyone has advice or wants to help – holler!!!

p.s. I really didn’t have time to start playing with this… currently hiring freelance developers and designers – cory.rosenfield@silverplatter.ca

so…blog post 1 complete! That was kinda fun – I might even do this again :)
